National Landscape Conservation System
As a multiple-use agency, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) manages 262 million acres of public lands in the West. Due to the diverse demands placed on these lands and BLM’s limited resources, it is paramount for the Bureau to work in partnership with federal, state, and local governments, and other interested parties to help insure stewardship of our Nation’s vast resources.
