Family Leave And Sick Leave
Find out how you must abide by the federal Family and Medical Leave Act, which provides time off for qualifying workers with newborns or family medical situations. There are also lists of hospitals and physicians, a medical encyclopedia and a medical dictionary, health information in Spanish, extensive information on prescription and nonprescription drugs, health information from the media, and links to thousands of clinical trials. MedlinePlus is updated daily.

Physical Activity And Health: A Report Of The Surgeon General
The first report by the Surgeon General to address physical activity and health. It summarizes the existing literature on the role of physical activity in preventing disease and on the status of interventions to increase physical activity. Primarily focused on disease prevention, topics include physical activity (walking, bicycling) and resistence exercise (weigh training).

Toll-Free Numbers For Health Information
A list of toll-free numbers of organizations that provide health-related information, education, and support. These organizations DO NOT diagnose or recommend treatment for any disease. Some of the organizations use recorded messages; others provide personalized counseling and referrals. Most offer educational materials; some charge handling fees.
