Applied Research Manager

You will lead a team of world class research scientists who are developing numerical algorithms for modeling and optimization of radiation treatment appliances, radiation delivery and dose deposition inside the patient. In this role, you will be a member of the management team and in addition to your daily managerial duties, you will be managing our research project portfolio. Furthermore, you will maintain and implement the research roadmap in collaboration with the business unit’s portfolio management team. Finally, generating invention disclosures and publishing white papers are “business as usual” for you.

You have a Ph.D./D.Sc. degree in Physics, Mathematics or Information Technology and at least 3 years of R&D managerial experience in product development. You have former experience in algorithm development and you have the ability to analyze and collate information as well as to manage research projects and meet deadlines. Previous working experience in the Medical Device sector is seen as an advantage. In our international environment you will also need a good command of written and spoken English.

Team Leader/ Senior Software Engineer

You will lead a team of world class software engineers who are developing various functionalities for planning of advanced radiation therapy capabilities under the Software Application Engineering Department. In addition to your line management duties, you will work in the product development projects. Your tasks will include all aspects of software development such as analysis, design, implementation and verification.

You have a Master's degree e.g. in Computer Science with minimum 5 years experience in software product development and programming with C# or C++. In addition you have experience in leading or tutoring people.

Experience in any of the following is an advantage

  • Application development on Windows platforms
  • WPF/Silverlight
  • Large software systems
  • Safety critical systems

You are a team player with high motivation an ability to learn. In our international environment you will also need a good command of written and spoken English.

Software Verification Engineer

You will work on improving our treatment planning products. Your tasks will include developing of automated unit and integration tests, maintaining of existing automated tests, and verification testing.

You have a Master's degree e.g. in Computer Science with minimum of 3 years experience in automated testing, or experience in software product development and programming. Experience in application development on Windows platforms, C++, .NET technologies (e.g. C#, C++/CLI, WCF, WPF and Silverlight), as well as working with large systems or safety critical systems is an advantage.

Product Manager

You will manage and coordinate product management activities for our radiotherapy treatment planning and treatment management system to advance the field of radiation oncology. You will be the primary liaison between our engineering team in Helsinki and the product management teams in US (California) and Switzerland. In this role you will set objectives, develop product strategy, research customer needs and recommend the development of new products and product enhancements through concept proposals. You will write use cases and product requirements based upon user needs, the overall product portfolio and the competitive environment. You will work directly with the engineers to ensure an understanding of the requirements and an implementation that thrills users. You will become the domain expert who provides expertise to quality review teams, marketing teams and service personnel for your product.

You are preferably a Medical Physicist and have a MSc, Ph.D. or M.D. degree. You have at least 5 years of clinical experience in radiation oncology. In your international role you will need an excellent command of written and spoken English and the willingness to travel frequently.
