Lester Boeh
Vice President, Emerging Businesses
Lester Boeh is vice president, emerging businesses, responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities by drawing on the company's extensive intellectual property capabilities. He also oversees Varian's Security & Inspection Products (SIP) business, which supplies key imaging technology for cargo screening, border protection and industrial applications. Boeh is also responsible for developing the company's new particle therapy business unit, which will supply equipment and software for treating cancer with proton therapy technology. He joined Varian in 2001 as vice president for strategic programs, following a twelve year tenure at Siemens Medical Systems. He holds an MBA from Duke University.
